Nigerian reality TV star and thriving entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has successfully powered through her ambitious 24-hour bid for the Guinness World Record for the most makeovers completed in a single day.

The media personality finally wrapped up the marathon session at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, bringing the high-octane challenge to a close at the historic John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos. This culturally significant venue served as the backdrop for the grueling test of skill, which kicked off on Saturday.

Despite facing technical hiccups, including a brief power outage during the early hours, Tacha was unstoppable. She maintained a phenomenal pace, successfully applying makeup on 145 models, a stunning display of speed and resilience under pressure.

The diverse array of models, including notable figures like Venita Akpofurer represented various body types and skin tones. This crucial element powerfully showcased Tacha’s versatility and her commitment to inclusive beauty standards, a key feature of the broader Tacha Beauty Festival that framed the record attempt.

The spectacle drew a massive crowd of well-wishers and major personalities, turning the venue into a celebration of Nigerian excellence.

The supporting cast included a heavy lineup of celebrities and influencers such as Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Ice Prince, and key government representatives, including the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.

Tacha, who first became a household name following her stint on Big Brother Naija Season 4, now awaits the official verification process by Guinness World Records.

Her record-shattering ambition, she stated, was born out of a desire to celebrate creativity, consistency, and the undeniable strength of Nigerian women in the global beauty industry. Her successful completion of the marathon now stands as an inspiring testament to Nigerian drive on the world stage.
