Lagos, Nigeria – The fallen diesel-laden tanker on Liverpool Bridge, inward Mile 2, Apapa, has been fully recovered and towed off the bridge. LASTMA announced that normalcy is expected along the axis this afternoon.
This follows our earlier reports by Afriktimes this morning, which stated that a petrol laden tanker had overturned on the bridge during peak hours, causing severe congestion along the Apapa corridor. Emergency responders cordoned off the area to prevent further accidents, while some residents were reportedly seen scooping petrol from the overturned tanker using jerrycans, despite the obvious danger.
