The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as fake a membership slip circulating on social media, which falsely suggests that wanted terrorist, Mohammed Bello Turji has been registered in the party’s ongoing electronic registration and validation exercise.
In a press statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the document as a “complete fabrication” with no connection to its official membership register or digital database.
According to the party, details displayed on the slip are entirely bogus — including a claim that Turji was registered in “Ward 13” of Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State, even though the LGA has only 10 wards. The APC said every other data point on the slip is equally false.
The party accused unnamed mischief makers of deliberately attempting to mislead the public and urged Nigerians to disregard what it called a “highly offensive and fraudulent” document.
