By The Faculty of Social Sciences at the Federal University of Kashere (FUK) on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, organised a send-forth ceremony in honour of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Umaru A. Pate.
The event was held at the university’s Entrepreneurship Centre.
In his address, Professor Pate reflected on his years of service, highlighting key achievements and milestones recorded during his tenure.
He emphasised the need for strong leadership, continuous institutional development, and the sustenance of high academic standards.
The outgoing Vice-Chancellor also offered valuable insights to faculty members on strategies for securing international research grants, encouraging them to explore global opportunities for academic advancement.
The programme featured an academic session and a faculty retreat themed “How to Win International Grants.” In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of the university, Professor Pate was presented with Certificates of Excellence and commemorative awards.
The event brought together staff and students in celebration of Professor Pate’s dedication, visionary leadership, and lasting impact on the development of the Federal University of Kashere.
