By Lagos, Nigeria- The Lagos State Government announced today a strict zero tolerance policy on illegal dumping across the state.
According to the government, this week the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) arrested offenders and seized carts and other equipment from various parts of Lagos as part of ongoing enforcement efforts. The operation targeted unregulated waste disposal activities, sending a strong message that illegal dumping will no longer be tolerated.
Residents are being urged to adhere strictly to proper waste management regulations to avoid penalties.
