Edo, Nigeria- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced this morning that its Benin Zonal Directorate arrested Mrs. Salt Adeaze Udoka, 48, over a case of property fraud.

The Commission said Udoka worked with two other persons to obtain the sum of ₦165 million from a victim under the pretext of selling a landed property.

According to the EFCCYo, investigations showed that the victim transferred the money to Udoka and one Ndubisi John Iheukwumere after they promised to sell him a 100 acre parcel of land located at Ewulu Kingdom in Delta State.

The EFCC said that after receiving the money, Udoka and her accomplices stopped communicating with the victim and neither transferred ownership of the property nor refunded the money.

The Commission said Udoka has made statements during interrogation and will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
