The Adamawa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Hamza Bello Madagali, has officially resigned from the party and defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alhaji Madagali announced his decision on Friday while briefing newsmen at the party’s state secretariat. He explained that the move was aimed at strengthening and sustaining good governance and development in Adamawa State under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
According to him, the decision was taken collectively with members of the PDP State Executive Committee and other key party stakeholders in the state. He emphasized that their defection was in the overall interest of Adamawa and its people.
Madagali appealed to PDP members and stakeholders across the state to join hands with them in moving to the APC to ensure continued progress and unity.
