By Tragedy has again struck the media community in Bauchi State as another cameraman with the Bauchi State Television Authority (BATV), Kabiru Ahmed Ilaleh, has died from injuries sustained in a recent ghastly road accident.
Kabiru passed away in the early hours of Saturday at the New Surgical Complex of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi. He was 56 years old.
He is survived by his mother, two wives, seven children, and other relatives.
His death comes weeks after a cameraman with Channels Television, Kani Ben, also lost his life from injuries sustained in the same accident. Kani died on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Modular Theatre Complex at ATBUTH. He was 43 years old and is survived by his wife and two children.
