‎Firefighters Save ₦52m Property as Blaze Razes Twin Residential Building in Jalingo  ‎

Residents of Agada Atah in Magami, Jalingo, narrowly escaped injury after a fire outbreak destroyed part of a twin residential building in the area.

‎The incident occurred in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, and involved two residential buildings configured as twin flats, each containing four self-contained bedrooms.

‎In a statement released on Monday via its official platforms, the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Taraba State Command, confirmed that no casualties were recorded. The statement was signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Sylvanus Mikailu.

‎According to the release, firefighters responded swiftly to a distress call and were able to contain the blaze before it spread to nearby structures. Property valued at approximately ₦52 million was reportedly saved during the operation.

‎The firefighting team, led by ASFII Bruno Nsame, acted promptly and deployed equipment effectively to bring the situation under control. Their efforts, the statement noted, prevented further escalation and limited the extent of the damage.

‎The Acting State Controller, Yakubu Dungus, used the opportunity to urge residents to strictly adhere to fire safety measures. He also encouraged members of the public to promptly notify the fire service in the event of any emergency to ensure timely intervention.
