The Federal Government has commenced the distribution of Presidential emergency food and nutrition items to vulnerable residents across the three Senatorial Districts of Adamawa State.
Describing the exercise as a critical intervention, government representatives said the initiative is aimed at cushioning the immediate impact of food insecurity and stabilising households facing hardship.
“This distribution exercise is a decisive step to cushion the immediate effects of food insecurity and stabilise affected households. The Government of Nigeria stands firmly with its citizens in moments of vulnerability,” Doro stated.
He explained that beyond the immediate relief, the Federal Government plans to implement broader reforms to strengthen humanitarian response and poverty reduction systems nationwide.
According to him, beneficiaries of the food support will also be integrated into other social protection programmes such as conditional cash transfers. Additional interventions include livelihood restoration programmes, skills acquisition initiatives, agricultural support schemes, and micro-enterprise financing designed to help beneficiaries regain economic independence and long-term stability.
State Government Applauds Intervention
