The outgoing Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Sunday announced that DCP Anthony Okon Placid has been appointed as the new Force Public Relations Officer.
This was disclosed in a post by Hundeyin through his X account, where he revealed that the appointment of DCP Placid as the new PRO of the Nigeria Police Force was done in approval of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
In a statement posted by Hundeyin, it was revealed that DCP Placid has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force, including as Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State and Police Staff College in Jos. It was also revealed in the statement that the officer also served in international operations in Africa with the African Union Mission in Sudan and United Nations Mission in Darfur.
The statement said that DCP Placid has experience in administration, operations, intelligence, training, and public relations.
