Abuja, Nigeria
Sub-committees constituted for the upcoming 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have commenced preparations to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise. The various committees, saddled with the responsibility of coordinating critical operational, administrative, electoral, logistics, security and programme activities for the convention, have already held their inaugural meetings and begun work in earnest.

Among the key committees is the Venue Committee chaired by Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State. The Security Committee is chaired by Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), while the Protocol Committee is headed by Bassey Otu, Governor of Cross River State.
The Transportation Committee is chaired by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, alongside other sub-committees responsible for ensuring seamless coordination of activities leading to the convention.

Meanwhile, the National Convention Central Coordination Committee, chaired by former Governor of Katsina State and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Bello Masari, has also begun work following its inauguration.

Recall that AfrikTimes earlier reported that the committee was inaugurated by the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and has been mandated to coordinate and harmonise all activities ahead of the party’s 2026 National Convention.
