By Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abimbola Adebisi, made a statement today.
As gathered from her official social media handles, she said that the Lagos State Police Command is against all forms of mob actions.
She said that anyone who takes the law into their hands is getting himself involved in a criminal act and that it is against the rule of law.
SP Abimbola Adebisi also said that whenever a suspect is arrested, the public is expected to immediately hand over the suspect to the nearest police station for proper investigation and legal process.
She further added that the Command advises residents to follow the law and allow the police and other relevant authorities to enforce lawful responsibilities.
“Together, we can protect lives, uphold justice, and build a safer Lagos,” she concluded.
