Isiaka Kazeem Otolorin, who said he is the founder of SCHRODINGERS LENS and has been seen several times on the streets seeking support for his movie concept, was spotted in front of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) today holding a placard today.
Speaking with AfrikTimes today, Otolorin said he has been carrying out the public campaign for more than three weeks as part of what he described as an “awareness campaign” for the psychological thriller film titled MADHOUSE.
His movie idea, MADHOUSE is about an individual who is trapped inside a house, and over time, the person becomes psychologically affected by the isolation.
He said the estimated cost for the movie is about ₦50 million. However, he said he has not received the financial backing needed for the movie. Otolorin mentioned that he has received an endorsement letter from the Lagos State Government in support of the movie. This, he said, is a major milestone for the concept of the movie.
Otolorin further added that he has sent over 1,000 emails to individuals and organizations seeking sponsorship and support for the movie. In which he said he has not received a lot of feedback. He mentioned that he has been moving around different areas of Lagos, which include Oshodi, Yaba, Lagos Island, Obalende, and Sango, to create awareness and gain support for the movie.
Otolorin said he came to Lagos from the North with the purpose of getting assistance to produce the movie. He added that he is a graduate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he studied Computer Science.
According to Otolorin, his aim is to get sponsorship, support, and finance needed to produce the movie project through SCHRODINGERS LENS Studios.
