By The Adamawa State Government has inaugurated 118 members into various committees and sub-committees to organise a grand reception for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri ahead of his planned defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The reception is scheduled to take place on March 23 and is expected to attract top political figures, stakeholders, and supporters from within and outside the state.
Inaugurating the committees in Yola on Monday, the Secretary to the State Government, Auwal D. Tukur, charged members to work diligently to ensure a successful and memorable event.
He stressed the need for commitment, coordination, and teamwork among the various committees, urging them to effectively discharge their responsibilities ahead of the reception.
According to him, the mobilisation committee is chaired by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs and Chieftaincy, Hon. Yayaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa, alongside Hon. Mustapha Atiku Ribadu.
The medical sub-committee is headed by the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Suleiman Sai’du Bashir, with Dr.
Abraham Musa serving as secretary.
Other sub-committees inaugurated include feeding, security, media and publicity, logistics, as well as protocol and transport committees.
The planned grand reception is part of ongoing political developments in the state and is expected to draw widespread attention across the country.
