By The Lagos State government, through their social media channels, announced The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, which they described as a “YOU-LEAD” (Youth Leadership, Emergency Action and Development).
They added that the Leadership Academy is a medium to empower young people with leadership awareness, emergency response knowledge, and readiness for employment. They emphasized that the Academy will be across Local Government Areas in Lagos State and stated that they will bring the opportunity to the young people of the state.
The government further added that participants will gain experience in their community responsibilities and will be enlightened with knowledge to solve community problems, how to be ready to work in a job place, and developing their leadership skills, in which they said that participants will be prepared to make proper contributions to their communities.
As the program expands across Lagos, residents will have the opportunity to participate, develop their skills, and make an impact in their communities, the Lagos State government concluded.
