The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has started distributing relief materials to people affected by flooding in parts of Adamawa State.
The distribution, approved by NEMA’s Director-General Zubaida Umar, took place on March 17, 2026, targeting communities in Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha Federal Constituency.
Items shared include food and essential household supplies such as rice, maize, spaghetti, and vegetable oil. The process was conducted under tight security to ensure fairness and order.
Local representative Jaafar Abubakar Magaji and community members praised the Federal Government and NEMA for the timely intervention.
NEMA also reaffirmed its commitment to continued humanitarian support, as flooding remains a recurring issue in Adamawa, often displacing residents and damaging homes, farms, and infrastructure.
