Lagos State Governor, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced on his social media pages today that the Lagos State Government has signed an agreement with Estar, according to the governor, a group that specialises in digital learning and provides digital tools and infrastructure.
“We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Estar, an organisation with digital learning expertise to bring modern digital learning platforms and infrastructure into our public primary and secondary schools.”, the governor said.
The governor described the agreement as being aimed at providing digital learning tools and infrastructure in schools.
In his words : “This partnership will give our students access to curriculum-based tools that support critical thinking, communication, decision-making, leadership, and AI skills.”
He explained that students will have access to tools that follow the school curriculum and help develop skills.
The statement by the governor reads: “It will also strengthen reading, comprehension, confidence, and classroom participation.”
According to him, the tools will help improve students’ reading, understanding, confidence, and participation in class.
“We are investing in the training of our teachers so they can use these tools effectively and deliver more engaging lessons, with a clear focus on preparing our students for the future and improving learning outcomes across the board,” the governor said.
He concluded by emphasizing that teachers will be trained to use the digital tools properly so lessons can be more effective and interactive.
