By The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has distributed grassroots mobilisation vehicles branded with the names of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Shehu Buba Umar across the 20 local government areas of the state.
The vehicles were donated by Senator Shehu Buba Umar, who represents Bauchi South Senatorial District, to support grassroots mobilisation for President Tinubu and his own governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.
The vehicles were officially handed over to the Bauchi State APC Chairman, Muhammad Hassan Tilde, for onward distribution to the 20 local government chairmen to strengthen the party’s outreach and grassroots presence.
Speaking during the handover ceremony at the APC Secretariat in Bauchi, Hon. Aminu Mohammed Danmalaki, who represented the senator, said the buses were provided to reinforce the party’s structure and visibility at the grassroots level. He added that two additional buses would be allocated to the APC state headquarters, while three others would be assigned to the party’s zonal offices, bringing the total number of vehicles to 25.
Danmalaki stated that the gesture demonstrates Senator Shehu Buba’s commitment to democratic development and continued support for the APC. He also highlighted the senator’s contributions to sectors such as health, agriculture, education, employment, and security across Bauchi State.
He described Shehu Buba as a grassroots politician whose understanding of the people’s needs positions him as a strong contender for the Bauchi State governorship in 2027.
Meanwhile, the Bauchi State APC continues to face internal tensions following the recent state congress that returned Muhammad Hassan Tilde as chairman. Some aggrieved members have protested the outcome, delaying the formal inauguration of the party’s leadership.
