Carter Efe emerged victorious against Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable through an unanimous decision after three rounds, with all three judges scoring the contest 27-30 in Efe’s favour at “Chaos in the Ring 4” event in Lagos.
The contest took place on Friday night, May 1, into the early hours of Saturday morning at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Portable had an unbeaten record following the victories over Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha in 2023 and singer Speed Darlington in April 2025.
Before the contest, both fighters have traded words on social media which has gained discussions and controversies. There were videos showcasing the preparation of both contestant, exuding confidence in winning the contest.
According to the analysis being made, Carter Efe leveraged on his longer reach outmanoeuvring Portable, dictating the fight’s pace. Portable on the other end demonstrated aggressive strategy which failed to yield desired outcome.
Carter Efe received a 50 million naira million cash prize and reportedly secured additional perks, including a German visa, valued at over 75 million naira.
The contest was promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with former world heavyweight champion Amir Khan’s AK Promotions and sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control.
