During his earlier testimony on September 30, 2024, Verydarkman alleged that transwoman and socialite Bobrisky had paid N15 million to EFCC agents and the Nigerian Correctional Services to serve her prison sentence in the VIP section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre in Lagos.
However, when Verydarkman realized Bobrisky was not present at the event, he declined to answer further questions. This moment, captured on camera, quickly went viral.
Invited to the podium to brief the Investigating Committee, Verydarkman said, “I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here.
“I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here. Bobrisky said in the voice note that there is a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. You’re trying to make me talk when he’s disrespected this committee by not coming here,” he remarked.
Martins Vincent Otse aka Verydarkman.
“This isn’t the first or second time you’ve threatened to arrest me, imprison me, and make me remain in jail. I’ll remain there until he’s prepared to speak. For the time being, if Bobrisky is not here, I won’t say anything; if I do, let me die,” he added.
The audience at the hearing murmured in disbelief at Verydarkman’s statement.
This comes after an audio clip released by Verydarkman on September 24, 2024, in which Bobrisky alleged that certain unidentified EFCC personnel extorted ₦15 million from him to drop money laundering charges. Bobrisky also claimed that his son, along with a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), intervened to have the charges dismissed, preventing him from facing imprisonment.
As of the time this report was filed, committee members were urging Verydarkman to speak on the allegations, assuring that Bobrisky would similarly face the panel.
