Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former Governor of Sokoto State, has called on national leaders to unite in a collective effort to prevent the nation from impending collapse.

Tambuwal, who represents the Sokoto South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, made this appeal during his remarks following the conclusion of the state PDP congress on Saturday evening. He expressed deep concern over the alarming insecurity, widespread poverty, and severe economic challenges plaguing Nigeria.

“We, as leaders, must come together and work collectively, especially those who are not involved in the current governance. We need to ensure that through democratic means, by God’s grace, we rescue this country by 2027,” Tambuwal said.

He warned that Nigeria is on the verge of collapse, blaming harsh economic policies for pushing citizens into extreme poverty, with many struggling to meet basic needs.

“Our country is in critical condition. Those of us dissatisfied with the current state of affairs must unite and work toward reclaiming Nigeria by 2027, restoring it to a path of unity, progress, and development,” he concluded.
