President Bola Tinubu is set to swear in seven new ministers today, Monday, November 4, in a ceremony at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. This was announced by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via X on Sunday.
The incoming ministers include:
- Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
- Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment
- Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
- Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment
- Idi Mukhtar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development
- Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development
- Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education
The Senate confirmed the appointments on October 31, following a major cabinet reshuffle on October 23, where Tinubu re-assigned ten ministers, discharged five others, and submitted seven new nominees for confirmation.
