Popular Nigerian TikTok creator Amadou Aminata, better known as Jarvis, has addressed questions surrounding her relationship with fellow content creator and partner, Peller.
Speaking during a TikTok live session on Monday, the Edo State–born influencer revealed that age difference remains the major reason the couple has not yet tied the knot, despite speculation from fans who admire their bond.
In her words, Jarvis said, “Let us not lie, the age difference is there because I am older and I accept that. I don’t want it to look like since I am older, I am pressurising him to get married at the wrong time. Of course, this is a wrong time for him. Let us be real and logical. I am not pushing you, and I am after your happiness. I don’t want you to get married and start to regret rushing into marriage.”
Her frank remarks quickly went viral, igniting debates online about love, maturity, and relationships where the woman is older. Jarvis, who is 23, made it clear that if Peller were older than her, they likely would have already married. “By now, I would have gotten married, but your age is the one slowing me down. If you were older than me, we would have gotten married,” she told him during the live stream.
Jarvis first rose to prominence for her robot-style performances on TikTok, a venture she started during a university strike when a friend urged her to try out the app. What began as a pastime soon became a career, with her following growing into the millions. Today, she boasts more than seven million followers, ranking among Nigeria’s most successful digital creators.
Her partnership with Peller began as a creative collaboration before evolving into a romantic relationship. In earlier days, she supported him financially as he tried to establish himself in the content space. Over time, Peller carved out his own online presence, and together, the duo became a fan-favourite pair known for their chemistry both on and off-screen.
Still, Jarvis’s latest revelation shows that marriage may not be immediate for the couple. For now, they remain focused on their content, while their followers continue to watch closely, debating the balance between love, age, and timing in modern relationships.
