The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State has sworn in its newly elected state executive members, reaffirming the party’s commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots mobilisation.

‎The swearing-in ceremony, held on Thursday at the party’s state secretariat in Yola, attracted party members, stakeholders, and loyalists from across the state.

‎Speaking at the event, Boniface Reddy, Chairman of ADC in Demsa Local Government Area and ALGON Chairman in Adamawa State, described the occasion as one meant to foster unity rather than division. He said the ADC remains the party with a clear vision to lead the people of Adamawa to the “promised land,” urging supporters to remain steadfast and committed to the party’s success.

‎Also speaking, Kathrine Jatau, a member of the party and an aspirant in Yola North, stated that the ADC has come to stay and is united on all fronts. She described the party as a platform for the poor and the marginalised, calling on women across the state to join the movement for positive change.

‎Administering the oath of allegiance and oath of office, Barrister Hassan Isa reminded the newly inaugurated executives of their constitutional responsibilities. He urged them to discharge their duties with diligence, prudence, and accountability in line with the party’s constitution.

‎Those sworn in include Saidu Komsiri as State Organising Secretary; Yakubu Hamza as Assistant State Organising Secretary; Alhaji Ali Muhammad as State Treasurer; and Mrs Alheri Hycent as Deputy State Treasurer. Others are Sadam Jibril Bororo as State Financial Secretary; Aisha Rose Sambo as Assistant Financial Secretary; and Fatima Hayatu as State Woman Leader, among others.

‎In his keynote address, the Chairman of ADC in Adamawa State, Comrade Shehu Yohanna Kamble, said the inauguration of the new executives signalled a prosperous future for the party.

‎”My special appreciation goes to party members and supporters for their cooperation and commitment, which he noted made the event a success.” He said.

‎Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, the State Organising Secretary, Saidu Komsiri, expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the successful conduct of the ceremony.

‎”I commended party stalwarts whose efforts, ensured that past rifts and divisions within the party were resolved and relegated to history”. He added.

‎With this, the African Democratic Congress in Adamawa sets standards and hopes for better unity in the state.
