The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as the party’s best and only credible option for the 2027 general elections.
This position was made known on Monday during a ceremony held to formally welcome a new governorship aspirant into the party fold.
Speaking to journalists at the event, the APC State Chairman, Barrister Idris Shuabu, expressed confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu, stating that his performance since assuming office has strengthened the party’s chances of retaining power at the federal level.
Shuabu highlighted key policies and initiatives of the Tinubu administration, including the student loan scheme, the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development, and ongoing efforts to address insecurity across the country.
According to him, these achievements demonstrate the president’s experience, commitment, and capacity to lead Nigeria effectively.
He maintained that the APC in Adamawa State remains united and fully prepared to deliver victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
At the ceremony, Engr. Diaulhaq Abubakar was formally received as a governorship aspirant under the APC platform.
Declaring his intention to contest for the party’s ticket, Abubakar described himself as a youth with a clear vision for inclusive governance and sustainable development in Adamawa State.
“I am determined to improve revenue generation in the state, develop critical infrastructure, expand skills acquisition programmes, and ensure that every citizen benefits from good governance,” Abubakar stated.
He pledged to pursue policies that would promote economic growth, create opportunities for young people, and enhance the overall wellbeing of Adamawa residents if given the mandate to serve.
The event attracted party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders, all of whom expressed optimism about the APC’s prospects in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
