The Adamawa State Police Command has heightened security across the state in preparation for President Bola Tinubu’s scheduled visit on Monday to commission major projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

‎In a statement issued on Saturday, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to prevent any breach before, during, and after the president’s visit.

‎According to him, the Command has been placed on high alert, with personnel and operational assets strategically deployed across the state.

‎The Commissioner of Police, Dankwambo Morris, has also convened a strategic meeting with security commanders and senior officers to review and reinforce existing security measures.

‎Nguroje disclosed that the CP has ordered the deployment of specialized units, including the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, Surveillance Squad, and the Crowd and Traffic Control Unit. These teams are expected to conduct covert surveillance operations and maintain law and order.

‎To ensure public safety, security personnel have been stationed at identified flashpoints in Yola South and Yola North Local Government Areas.

‎The Command is collaborating closely with other security agencies to guarantee a hitch-free visit. Measures already implemented include enhanced surveillance patrols, traffic restrictions in designated areas during the commissioning events, and the deployment of anti-bomb squads to sweep venues and access routes.

‎Residents have been urged to cooperate with security personnel and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
