The Executive Chairman, of Agege Local Government Area, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa wrote today on his official X handle that he received the Lagos State Council Chairmen’s Wives Association (LASCCWA), together with the Agege Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, Hon. Akinola Idowu, and hosted a women empowerment programme.
In his view, beneficiaries were given items like sewing machines, grinding machines, and professional hairdressing machines such as salon steamers to enable them strengthen small businesses and professional skills among women within the community.
According to Hon. Obasa, the programme is an initiative towards women empowerment, which enhances livelihoods and makes women self reliant at the grassroots. He further commended LASCCWA for their quest to empower women within Lagos State.
