Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has strongly condemned the recent attacks on communities in Madagali and Hong Local Government Areas, describing the incidents as cowardly acts of terrorism that will not be tolerated under his administration.
In a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwahashi Wonisikou, the governor sent a clear warning to those behind the violence, vowing that the state government would take firm and decisive action to prevent further attacks and sustain the hard-earned peace across Adamawa.
“We will not allow terrorists to undermine our efforts to restore peace and stability. I warn the perpetrators to desist from these senseless acts or face the full weight of our collective resolve,” the governor declared.
Governor Fintiri reassured residents that his administration remains unwavering in its commitment to protecting lives and property. He emphasized that the government would intensify collaboration with security agencies to track down those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.
“We have done this before, and we are determined to do it again,” he stated confidently.
The governor urged residents of the affected local government areas and the state at large to remain calm and go about their lawful activities without fear, assuring them of the government’s continued support and protection.
“We have your back. We will protect you and your livelihoods,” he affirmed.
He also commended security agencies for their bravery, resilience, and swift response to the attacks, pledging sustained logistical and operational support to strengthen ongoing security operations.
Governor Fintiri further called on the people of Adamawa to continue cooperating with the government and security agencies in the fight against insecurity, expressing optimism that collective efforts would overcome the current challenges.
