By Administrators of Development Areas across Adamawa State have commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for what they described as his visionary leadership and sustained developmental strides, noting that his impact on governance and infrastructure development continues to be felt across communities.
The administrators gave the commendation during a Sallah homage to the governor, where they also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in their respective development areas and pledged loyalty to the administration’s policies and programmes.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Administrator of Vokunan Pakka Development Area, Emmanuel Isa Lawan, sympathised with the governor and the people of the state over the recent attack in Madagali which resulted in loss of lives and destruction of property. He acknowledged the government’s ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity and restore normalcy in affected communities.
Lawan assured the governor that the administrators would justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering on their responsibilities and strengthening governance at the grassroots level through improved service delivery and community engagement.
In his response, Governor Fintiri congratulated the administrators on their appointments and urged them to work in unity while remaining committed to their duty posts. He emphasized the need for patience, discipline and dedication in the discharge of their responsibilities, noting that effective grassroots leadership remains critical to sustainable development.
The governor also called on the administrators to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of forthcoming elections, stressing that community-level participation and coordination are essential for political stability and development. He further disclosed that the state government has constituted a monitoring team to assess the performance of development area administrators and ensure accountability and efficient service delivery across the state.
