Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy and a close associate of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has refuted allegations made by Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, regarding his relationship with her son.
Primeboy responded to the claims made by Mohbad’s mother during an online interview, where she accused him of having conflicts with the late singer while he was still alive.
In a statement issued by his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, and obtained by PUNCH Metro on Saturday, Primeboy addressed the accusations. He quoted Mohbad’s mother as saying that he frequently complained about being neglected by Mohbad after the singer achieved fame.

Primeboy, through his lawyer, has accused Mohbad’s mother of defamation and claimed that her statements were made intentionally to harm his reputation. He asserted that her allegations had negatively impacted the support and affection he received from his fans.
“Your actions are deliberate to injure and traduce the integrity of our client who is a rising star in the music industry and your allegations in the interview have greatly and negatively impacted the affection and love being enjoyed by our client from his fans and well-wishers around the world,” the statement added.
Primeboy has requested that Mohbad’s mother retract her statement within seven days. He also warned of potential legal action if she fails to comply.
In August, Primeboy’s lawyer, Ogunbona, argued a court application on behalf of his client, stating that both Wunmi Aloba (Mohbad’s wife) and the police needed to provide more information to clarify the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
According to the statement, their request to be called by the counsel was to make clear some ambiguous statements regarding the fight the singer’s wife alleged happened in the house.
