The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has launched its campaign for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship election, unveiling a people-first governance blueprint tagged “10 Pillars of AMAc Transformation,”

The party’s candidate, Robert Madaki, who presented the “10 Pillars of AMAC Transformation”, manifesto as the party’s Anuja office, promised to deliver of his promises which focus on administrative reform, accountability, security, and inclusive development.

Madaki emphasized the need for a review of AMAC’s administrative structure to improve efficiency, service delivery, and financial sustainability.

He highlighted the importance of ensuring elected officials are answerable to the people, promoting transparency, and making governance felt at the grassroots level.

“I will run an all inclusive government that will put the people first, improve the security of lives and properties in AMAC, ensure that workers don’t go on strike, improve the living conditions of our people and rehabilitate rural roads for interconnectivity.”

The Chairman of the party, Abraham Adedotun, described the party’s approach as innovative, driven by young and credible candidates. He hinted that YPP is ready to surprise the people AMAC as it have all it takes to win the council election.

He maintained that the party is fielding credible candidates that the people can trust.

“We are the Young Peoples Party, we are innovative in our approach to their council election. We are different from other parties as we are bringing in people that can be trusted because they have been tested before. And I also assure you that we are winning this election because we are fully prepared for it.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed the election date as February 21, with 1,401 polling units across 12 wards in AMAC.
