Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has resigned from his position as Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy Development after serving two successful terms in office.
In his resignation statement, Adamu expressed deep appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the confidence and opportunity to serve in what he described as a strategic and highly significant role. He pledged his continued loyalty and support to the administration’s developmental agenda.
The former commissioner also thanked his father for the moral support and encouragement that enabled him to serve the people of Adamawa State. He commended the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Works and Energy, as well as directors, engineers, and staff, for their dedication and commitment to infrastructure development across the state.
Adamu extended special appreciation to the people of Jada, his hometown, for their prayers and unwavering support throughout his tenure.
He emphasized that his resignation does not signal the end of his public service, but rather the beginning of new opportunities to contribute to the growth, unity, and progress of Adamawa State.
