Social Media Personality Reveals Don Jazzy as Mystery Donor of ₦100 Million to New NGO

Popular social media figure, VeryDarkMan, has confirmed that renowned music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, is the anonymous donor behind the ₦100 million contribution to his newly launched Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

Initially raising concerns about the large deposit, VeryDarkMan had taken to Instagram, urging Zenith Bank to investigate the sudden increase in funds in his NGO’s account. In the post, he expressed fears of being set up, stating, “@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what’s going on… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness.”

However, in a video shared on Thursday, he revealed that Don Jazzy had personally reached out, explaining that the donation was made to support his cause of community development and improving public schools. The music producer’s message read: “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you.”

VeryDarkMan detailed how he initially panicked after noticing the funds had jumped from ₦70 million to over ₦170 million, fearing it was an error or potential setup. He emphasized his commitment to transparency, assuring followers that he would continue providing updates on the funds raised.

Following the disclosure, Don Jazzy trended on X (formerly Twitter), with many netizens praising his generosity and offering prayers for the iconic producer. In just five days since its inception, VeryDarkMan’s NGO has garnered ₦179 million in donations.
