Lagos, Nigeria — Traffic on the Third Mainland Bridge was disrupted today after a Lexus jeep, whose driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, collided with another vehicle at Adeniji Intersection, LASTMA has said.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), traffic cones have been placed behind the vehicles for safety, and efforts are ongoing to evacuate both vehicles from the location.
The incident affected vehicular movement from Adekunle inward toward Lagos Island, causing delays during the morning rush hour.
Motorists traveling along the corridor were advised to exercise caution and plan their journey as recovery operations continued, LASTMA said in a statement at 10:35 a.m.
