Lagos, Nigeria – The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced a planned power outage that will affect Agbara and parts of Ojo districts on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
According to EKEDC, the outage is scheduled to allow its technical team to straighten a tilted high tension (HT) pole at Ijanikin along the Agbara 33kV feeder.
EKEDC disclosed the information in a public notice issued on Friday, January 30, 2026, stating that the maintenance is part of efforts to ensure the safety and reliability of power infrastructure in the affected areas. EKEDC apologised for the inconvenience the planned outage may cause to customers.
