FRSC Adamawa Hosts Sensitization on Discipline and Command Structure

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adamawa State Sector Command, has hosted a one-day sensitization programme on Discipline Reinforcement and Strengthening of Command and Control in Field Commands at the Command Hall in Yola. The initiative was aimed at entrenching discipline, improving operational efficiency, and reinforcing effective command structures within the Corps.

‎The programme was organized in line with the strategic vision of the Corps leadership to enhance professionalism and ensure improved service delivery across field commands. It focused on strengthening internal mechanisms necessary for achieving the Corps’ mandate of safer roads and reduced traffic crashes nationwide.

‎The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, was represented at the event by Deputy Corps Marshal Aliyu Bawa Datsma, DCM Motor Vehicle Administration. The representative delivered the Corps Marshal’s address and presented a comprehensive lecture on discipline and command responsibility.

‎In his address, he emphasized that discipline remains the bedrock of operational success in the FRSC. He stressed the need for strict adherence to standard operating procedures, respect for hierarchy, and accountability at all levels of command to ensure effective service delivery.

‎He further noted that strong command and control mechanisms are essential for coordinated field operations, improved supervision and monitoring, promotion of professionalism and integrity, and themaintenance of public trust and confidence in the Corps.

‎The lecture also highlighted leadership by example, ethical conduct, punctuality, proper reporting channels, and zero tolerance for acts capable of tarnishing the image of the organization. Participants were urged to uphold the highest standards of discipline in the discharge of their duties.

‎The programme was attended by the Zonal Commanding Officer RS3HQ Yola, ACM Alphonsus H. Godwin; the Sector Commander RS3.1 Adamawa, CC Ibrahim A. Sadiq; senior officers from both the Zonal and Sector Commands; Unit Commanders; Heads of Operations; Regimental Sergeant Majors; as well as officers and marshals from the Zone and Sector Commands.

‎In his remarks, the Sector Commander expressed appreciation to the Corps Marshal for prioritizing discipline and strengthening command structures across field commands. He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing the resolutions of the programme and urged officers and men to internalize the lessons to enhance operational effectiveness within the Adamawa Sector Command.
