The event, which started at exactly 2:26 p.m., is underway with chef Hilda Baci leading conversations on how Nigerian food can tell stories to the world.
Sponsored by Gino, the record-breaking chef is spotlighting Asun Jollof, a twist on Nigeria’s famous Jollof rice that combines the dish with spicy goat meat. Speaking at the event, Baci stressed that food remains one of Nigeria’s strongest cultural exports.
“Nigerian Jollof is nice. Jollof is extraordinary,” she said, noting that Asun Jollof gives the meal a fresh identity capable of appealing to international audiences.
Oreoluwa, reflecting on the cultural meaning of the pot, added: “The pot is the symbol of unity and a symbol of a lady who continues to challenge the world.”
The event has also attracted celebrities including Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Femi Atere, and Tomike Adeoye, who joined in celebrating Nigerian cuisine as both tradition and innovation.
As the programme continues, organisers say Gino’s partnership with Hilda Baci demonstrates how brands can use food not only to reach consumers but to elevate Nigeria’s image globally.
