A X ( formerly known as Twitter) user, AdageorgeA, accused GTBank today of mishandling her complaint. She said her money, ₦395,424, was withdrawn from her account on March 3, 2026, using a card she hasn’t used since 2024 and never for online transactions.

She claimed that when she visited the Ikorodu branch, staff told her there was nothing they could do and even suggested she could “sleep there” if she wanted. She called out GTBank, saying they were employing thieves, and warned other Nigerians to be careful with their money and pensions in the bank.

She expressed frustration that the bank seemed to treat her as if she were a child and vowed to stay at the branch until the matter was resolved.
