Bayern Munich star, Harry Kane has reached a remarkable career milestone earlier today, February 14, after scoring twice to reach 500 senior career goals as Bayern Munich eased past Werder Bremen and restored six-point cushion at the top of the Bundesliga.
Harry Kane, 32, scored his first goal from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after a lengthy VAR review concluded that Senne Lynen had brought down youngster Lennart Karl inside the area. Kane stepped up and calmly converted his ninth penalty of the campaign.
Three minutes later, he had his second. Picking up possession on the edge of the box, Kane shifted the ball out of his feet and unleashed a crisp drive that kissed the post on its way in.

It was a goal worthy of the milestone it secured. His 500th in senior football, achieved in 743 appearances for club and country, with exactly 100 of them coming from the spot.
He now boasts 41 goals in all competitions this season, 26 of those in the league. The result keeps Vincent Kompany’s side firmly in control at the summit, ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who had thrashed Mainz 4-0 on Friday night to briefly narrow the gap.
The only concern for Bayern arose when captain Manuel Neuer failed to return for the second half due to a calf injury. He was replaced by Jonas Urbig, though the change did little to disrupt Bayern’s rhythm.
With 20 minutes remaining, Leon Goretzka put the game beyond doubt. Controlling the ball neatly on the edge of the area, he took a steadying touch before driving a low effort into the bottom corner to make it three.
Bayern’s attention now turns to a home clash with Eintracht Frankfurt next Saturday. Victory there could stretch their advantage to nine points, depending on how Dortmund fare later that day at RB Leipzig.
As for Werder, the defeat leaves them 16th and staring at the relegation play-off spot. A trip to second-bottom FC St. Pauli on 22 February now carries enormous weight in their fight for survival.
