INEC Revises 2027 Election Dates; Nigerians React on X

Afriktimes earlier reported that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has changed the dates in the 2027 election calendar.

The new calendar states that the presidential and National Assembly elections will take place on January 16th, 2027, and the elections for Governors and State Houses of Assembly will be on February 6th, 2027.

The changes were known on Thursday in a communication from Mohammed Haruna, the INEC national commissioner and chairman of the information and voter education committee.
