Jigawa, Nigeria — The Jigawa State Police Command announced today that Commissioner of Police Dahiru Muhammad hosted visits from two key officials on Tuesday, 27th January 2026.
The visitors were Mohammed Yahaya Fari, head of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Jigawa, and Mr. Murtala Amiru, Coordinator of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) in the state.
During the visits, the Correctional Service head thanked the police for their warm reception and highlighted the importance of working together. He said strong cooperation between the police and other agencies is essential for keeping communities safe and ensuring justice is served.
CP Dahiru welcomed the visitors and said the meetings reflected how different agencies can join forces to fight crime effectively. He assured that the police would continue sharing information and collaborating with other agencies to maintain peace and security across the state.
The SON Coordinator also praised the police for maintaining law and order in Jigawa. He added that the police play a key role in preventing unsafe or fake products from spreading and in making sure businesses comply with national quality standards.
The Commissioner of Police thanked SON for the visit and promised to continue working closely with all agencies. He stressed that teamwork is vital for protecting lives, supporting the economy, and boosting public confidence.
The visits concluded on a positive note, with all parties agreeing to keep strengthening collaboration to ensure peace, security, and the wellbeing of the people of Jigawa State.
