By Dangote Refinery has on Sunday announced that the first set of trucks is set to load Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as petrol at the facility.
The refinery made the announcement on its official X account @DangoteGroup with video evident.
The company wrote: “HAPPENING NOW: First set of trucks set for loading of PMS at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery”.
Recall also that NNPCL, on Saturday announced that over 300 trucks had arrived at the Dangote Refinery to load petrol.
This is the first time in years locally produced petrol will be loaded in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Vanguard had reported how Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL through its Executive Vice President (Downstream) of the company, Dapo Segun, denied frustrating Dangote refinery as insinuated by some people.
“NNPC has gone out of its way to support the Dangote refinery, which is what everyone should expect a shareholder to do. When people talk about delaying crude supply, they forget that it is a business transaction.
“They forget that some terms and conditions guide every type of business transaction. They also forget that refined products trading are a global business with terms and conditions.”
“So, there are conditions to be met. If those conditions are not met, it is normal to wait until they are met before you can release the cargo.”
