Lagos, Nigeria- The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK), announced yesterday that all public parks under its management across the state have been reopened following the completion of routine maintenance and upgrade works.

LASPARK said the parks were temporarily closed from January 12 to January 31, 2026, to allow for landscaping, facility repairs and general improvements after increased usage during the festive season.

According to the Agency, major recreational centres such as Ndubisi Kanu Park, Alausa (JJT Park) and Dr. Finnih Abayomi Park, Oregun, as well as other LASPARK managed parks across Lagos State, are now fully accessible to residents and visitors.

LASPARK stated that the maintenance exercise was necessary to ensure safety, cleanliness and the overall quality of the parks. It also urged members of the public to use park facilities responsibly, avoid littering and help protect public assets, noting that the upkeep of the parks is a shared responsibility.
