MultiChoice Group, the Pay-TV operator, has rebranded its SuperSport variety channels on DStv and GOtv platforms. In a statement released on Thursday by Tope Oshunkeye, Executive Head of Marketing at MultiChoice West Africa, it was announced that the changes took effect on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
Changes on DStv and GOtv: As part of the rebranding, the SuperSport Select Channel has been renamed SuperSport Africa. A new channel, SuperSport Action, has been introduced, offering a wider range of sports content, including UFC matches and additional Champions League games.
GOtv package updates:
- On GOtv Jinja and GOtv Jolli packages, SuperSport Africa will replace Select 2 (Channel 64).
- On the GOtv Max package, SuperSport Africa and SuperSport Africa 2 will replace Select 1 and Select 2 (Channels 63 and 64).
- On GOtv Supa and SupaPlus bouquets, SuperSport Action will replace Select 3 (Channel 69).
Oshunkeye explained that the rebranding is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the sports offerings and provide viewers with more diverse, high-quality sports content. The new channels will showcase top global sports action, including local boxing, UFC events, comprehensive analysis, and more, tailored to the African audience.
He reaffirmed MultiChoice’s commitment to delivering premium service, adding, “We are dedicated to bringing our customers the best in sporting entertainment and continuously improving their viewing experience with more choices, exciting live content, and unbeatable value.”
