Nigeria – The country’s national electricity grid suffered a collapse on Tuesday, marking the second outage in just four days.
Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EkoDisCo)alerted its consumers about the disruption, explaining that the system failure occurred around 10:48 a.m., causing a widespread blackout across its service areas.
The company stated that it is collaborating with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to restore electricity as quickly as possible. Customers were advised to remain patient while efforts continue to bring the grid back online.
This latest outage adds to growing concerns over the reliability of the national power infrastructure, as residents and businesses cope with recurring interruptions in electricity supply.
