Time to go for the debate: In the last stages of their 2024 campaign, former president Donald Trump and vice president Kamala Harris are preparing for their first presidential debate on Tuesday.
Campaign-related actions: The former president spoke at a rally in Wisconsin, a state known for its political battles, while Harris continued her preparations for the debate in Pittsburgh, where she had a quick meeting with constituents today at a small shop. Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, her campaign mate, gave a speech at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Washington, DC.
Harris is endorsed by Dick Cheney:
The former vice president of the Republican Party declared that he will support Harris in the next election and referred to Trump as a historic “threat to our republic.” Former Republican Representative Liz Cheney, his daughter, announced that she would run against Trump in swing areas.
