Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation within the Commonwealth of Nations following its participation in the 26th Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting held in Lancaster House.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, represented Nigeria at the meeting, where he joined foreign ministers from across the Commonwealth to review pressing global challenges and enhance coordination ahead of the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

According to the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, deliberations at the meeting focused on strengthening collective responses to issues affecting member states, including the promotion of peace, economic resilience, and democratic governance.

Participants emphasized the importance of closer collaboration among Commonwealth countries in addressing shared challenges and advancing sustainable development across the bloc.
Nigeria also reiterated its commitment to constructive multilateral engagement aimed at fostering shared progress and strengthening partnerships within the Commonwealth.
