By Nigerian internationals Chibuike Nwaiwu and Paul Onuachu were on target as Trabzonspor secured a 3–1 victory over Fatih Karagümrük in the Turkish Trendyol Super Lig 1.
Onuachu opened the scoring for the home side with a clinical header before setting up Chibuike, who also scored twice with headers to seal a comfortable win.
The defender’s brace marked his first goals for the club since joining in the January transfer window, while Onuachu continued his prolific form in front of goal.
The Nigerian striker has now scored 18 goals in all competitions this season, maintaining his position as Trabzonspor’s leading scorer.
The result keeps Trabzonspor third on the league table with 51 points, behind Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray with 53 and 55 points respectively.
