PDP Intensifies Membership Registration Drive in TarabaThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State has called on its members and supporters to actively participate in the party’s ongoing membership registration exercise ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The appeal was made on Friday by the Taraba State Chairman of the PDP, Obidah Bitrus, while speaking with journalists in Jalingo, the state capital.
Bitrus stressed that strong participation in the registration process is essential to strengthening the party’s structure and enhancing its readiness for future political contests.
He disclosed that the party has already launched an aggressive mobilisation and sensitisation campaign across various communities in the state to ensure the exercise reaches grassroots supporters and prospective members.
According to him, the initiative is designed to encourage wider participation and ensure that both existing members and new entrants are captured in the party’s updated membership register.
Bitrus urged party faithful across Taraba to take advantage of the opportunity to register, describing the PDP as a truly national party with the capacity to improve the welfare of citizens and deliver effective governance.
He further noted that the ongoing registration and mobilisation efforts form part of a broader strategy aimed at rebuilding the party’s strength in the state and reinforcing democratic engagement.
The PDP chairman also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to addressing pressing national challenges, including poverty, social dissatisfaction, and other socio-economic issues currently affecting many Nigerians.
